Shake Things Up!

Literally!... for those of you who are not local to Virginia or the DC Area, we just had an earthquake. It was a 5.9 at the epicenter and I'm not sure what that translates to where I am, but the building shook {I sit on the 10th floor}, stuff fell off the walls and bookshelves, and we all freaked out a little bit. They evacuated the building for quite a while and most everyone took that opportunity to head home. I've experienced one earthquake in my life before today, at Auburn freshman year and it wasn't as bad as this. They say to expect some aftershocks within the next hour or so.

So...thought I'd *shake* things up a bit and do Wordy Wednesday on TUESDAY. Crazy. But it works...in the cheesiest way possible.

Introducing: Wordy Wednesday!

As I search cyberspace, I come accross lots of quips and quotes, and plain old pretty writing. I have posted some of my favs in the past and have even written my own manifesto. I think by now I've collected enough wordy wisdom to do a regular feature. So, starting today, Wednesdays {maybe not every Wednesday} will now be known as Wordy Wednesdays.

You Don't Need Wings to Fly

I've done a lot of soul searching lately. I guess that goes hand in hand with the beginning of a New Year and making resolutions. So, after being prompted to get back into blog world I was reading A Thoughtful Place and a post about a quote originally posted on The Shabby Nest. The quote is pretty inspirational and really reminded me of someone I know who is learning how to fly. This one goes out my fellow soul searchers!
